A DISCIPLE’S LOVE
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26
A Christian medical doctor in China shares his experience when he refused to bow down or "kowtow" to an image of Mao because of his love for Jesus. After severe beatings did not succeed in influencing him, the authorities resorted to a more subtle strategy by getting his whole family to stand around him and weep. Here is the story in his own words:I had seven children as well as my wife all surrounding me and weeping. Crying bitterly, my wife said to me, “If you don't kowtow you will surely die and then what will we do?” For three days they stood around me weeping until my wife’s eyes were dreadfully swollen. “After you have died, what will happen to these children? Please, for the sake of your family, just kowtow.” They cried and cried. I really did not know what to do. I felt that I had no more strength so I prayed, “Lord I have no strength left, what must I do?”
On the third day, the Lord’s word [Luke 14:26] came, Hallelujah! There is no word of the Lord that is without power. The Lord through His Word filled me with the life and power of God. I said to my wife, “Stop crying. It’s no use your crying. I am the Lord’s disciple. For the Lord’s sake I am ready to die!”
Then the day came when the authorities called me and said, “You had better consider your situation carefully. If you want to live, you must kowtow otherwise it will mean certain death for you. Tonight we will make you eat the “steel bean” (bullet). You will be executed! This is your very last opportunity!” And so he sent me back to think it over.
There was, however, no need for me to think it over. I was ready for the bullet. But the night passed without my being called. Next day I saw that outside folk were running hither and thither and I wondered whatever had happened to cause such alarm. Later I was to learn that immediately after I had left the office, black swellings appeared on the prison warden’s legs and it was frightfully painful. Because he was the chief, all the doctors in the hospital were rushed to his side to give him aid. But within twenty-four hours he was dead.
The doctor was later released from prison and returned to his family and medical practice.

I AM VALUABLE
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
She hadn’t laughed for nearly two years, ever since her father’s tragic death in August, 2009. Even though she still liked sports and talking with her friends, Ruth’s eyes didn’t shine anymore, like other teenagers. And she never returned their laughter. Never again, Ruth thought, would she feel the joy she once had, before her father was killed. A fourteen-year-old girl at the time, she still believed two years later that she was to blame for the murder of her father, a well-known church leader in eastern Colombia.
The day the guerrillas shot him, he was waiting for her in an isolated place. Her parents had given Ruth permission to go play soccer. But she was late coming back, so her father had gone looking for her. Bitterness started to fill her heart, as she became angry with herself, convinced she had caused her father’s death. At her fifteenth birthday party, she couldn’t stop her tears from falling. “I don’t want to live anymore!” she sobbed. Suicidal thoughts became part of her daily life, as she kept fighting with her sisters and wrestling with an unhappiness about everything that made her life unbearable.
Her widowed mother, who was receiving regular emotional and material support through Open Doors’ program for martyrs’ families, admitted that although all four of her children were struggling with problems over their father’s death, Ruth’s condition was the worst.
But God turned things around for Ruth in July, when she was one of thirty widows’ children invited to an “orphan encounter” camp sponsored by Open Doors for children and teenagers from six different regions of Colombia. For three days, God used counselors to confront Ruth with the reality of her pain and start her on the path of healing.
At one point, she was asked to write down on some papers all the things that she wanted to fill her heart. “I want to fill my heart with forgiveness for myself, and for those who killed my father,” Ruth wrote. Then she went on to tell the others what she had written, something that she had not had the courage to talk about publicly before. Together the children and teens sometimes smiled over what they’d shared, along with tears as they released their need to cry out their pain. As they faced the words of Scripture taught to them and prayed together, the walls that Ruth had built up in her heart started to fall down.
Overjoyed, Ruth said, “It is so hard to find people who really take care of me. I thought there weren’t any! But now I realize that there are some, and even that I’m valuable for those who I don’t even know! I would like to be a good Christian and serve the Lord with all my heart.”

THE BODY OF CHRIST AT WORK
Training for Christian women in Pakistan, where poverty and illiteracy abound, has proven to reflect the character of the body of Christ.
A student says, “It’s important for me to be here so I can learn to read and write. Then I can read the Bible for myself, which is the most important thing for me. I want the Gospel to spread throughout our country. Now I study hard and I can write my name. I intend to stand before the people and read the Bible by myself so that other people may be encouraged to learn to read and write in the same way.
One teacher named Gladys says, “I have a gift for sewing, cutting, and embroidery. The other gift God has given me is to share with other people and tell them about Jesus. That is the opportunity I have and that is what I am doing here. When I began here, I said to them, ‘I am not educated. I can’t teach anyone.’ But then the Lord said to me, ‘This is My work. I will use you.’
“We do face discrimination because we live in the midst of people who don’t want us to move forward, people who keep trying to push us down so that we will always be in slavery. But the women testify to what God has done for them in their lives. From the time they first come here, I can see God changing their lives because the way they speak changes and they talk about the love they’ve been shown and how that has affected their lives. If someday a mother’s children are Christian because I taught her, I would be so happy because I would know that God had done His work through me.
Another teacher reports, “I first came to the center to learn sewing skills. But my father took me out of the center. He sent me to work for a Muslim family who lived in Turkey. The family said that I should give up my faith because it was no good. I told them that God had blessed me through this faith, and that I could not find such a blessing anywhere else, and that my faith meant everything to me.
“Then one time, when their daughter was ill, they taunted me and said I better pray for her and see what Jesus would do. So I did pray for her, and she was healed. They knew I had prayed to my God for her and so they exclaimed, ‘Glory to God! Surely your Jesus does answer prayers.’
Before I left them, I testified to them, and they said that my prayers work, but I told them, ‘It’s not my prayers. It is the Lord who causes us to pray and it is the Lord who heals.’ And they had to admit that it was true, and that my God truly does work.”
Another student concludes, “The Church is the body of Christ. We have to help each other to share the love of Jesus as He has shown us.”

Job’s Performance Review
Recommended Reading: Numbers 16:3; Proverbs 6:16–19; 2 Corinthians 8:20–21
Former hockey goalie Jacques Plante once quipped, “How would you like a job where, if you make a mistake, a big red light goes on and eighteen thousand people boo?”
Job didn’t face eighteen thousand booing people. Just a few so-called friends who made false accusations about his performance as a righteous man. Eliphaz started his attack on Job by criticizing his supposed lack of holiness. He accused Job of withholding water from the thirsty, keeping food from the hungry and turning away widows. Eliphaz claimed that Job’s problems stemmed from his wicked heart.
However, Eliphaz’s criticism was unfounded. God wouldn’t have made Job the poster child of righteousness if he’d really committed such horrible acts.
We all deal with criticism. But how we respond to it often determines how we feel about ourselves. Most of us respond in one of three ways: (1) We deny the accusation; (2) we become defensive and feel victimized; or (3) we look for what might be true about the criticism and weed out what’s not true.
Quite often critics just want to help solve problems—they’re not out to get the person they’re evaluating. If someone’s criticism carries a seed of truth, we need to acknowledge our mistakes and make corrections in that area of life. By doing this, we honor the critic’s judgment. And we show a willingness to take responsibility without feeling victimized.
However, some critics use words to degrade and control others. We don’t have to let them make our lives miserable. Job allowed Eliphaz to vent, but Job didn’t let the criticism define him. He was secure in the integrity of his actions, and that allowed him to deflect unfounded criticism.
Poet and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Criticism should not be querulous and wasting, all knife and root-puller, but guiding, instructive, inspiring.” False criticism never needs to define your self-worth. If someone throws an unjust accusation your way, don’t let it get under your skin. Look past it and move on. But if a critic’s words ring true, use them to make yourself a better person.
To Take Away
- How do you handle criticism?
- How does pride affect the way you respond to criticism?
- Would you describe your words of criticism toward others as cutting and destructive or as guiding, instructive and inspiring?

DISCOVERING JESUS
Camping experiences for me were always positive experiences. There you must live and practice your Christian faith twenty-four hours a day. And that deeply impacts the other campers.
Around the world, Open Doors sponsors camps—especially for discipleship training for young people. Twenty-three-year-old Roton is one of those youths who attended a camp in Bangladesh in early 2011 for young believers from Muslim background (MBB). He said, “To attend this camp, I traveled for seven hours. I walked thirteen kilometers before getting on the bus. It was exhausting, but I wanted to know more about Jesus.”
In a brief encounter with Open Doors during the camp, Roton shared that he felt pressure when he was just a new follower of Christ. “Many times, my Muslim friends would ask me why my family and I became Christians. They wanted to know how much [money] we got for converting. They asked me if the people who converted me stepped on the Koran or ate pork. I lost all my Muslim friends; everyone hated me and my family.”
Roton’s father was the first believer in the family, and boldly shared his faith with others. He read from the Koran, searching for portions that mentioned Jesus. Later on, however, his eye sight deteriorated to the point of blindness. So, he asked young Roton to read to him every day some passages from the Koran that specifically talked about Jesus.
“I just followed what I was told to do. In the beginning, I was reading for my father. But after few days, I realized that I was becoming more curious to find the truth myself. Because of the witness of the Koran, I found myself believing Jesus as the Holy one, the Messiah. I became a Christian soon after; I gave my life fully to Jesus,” Roton testified.
Discrimination soon followed Roton’s new found faith. His religion teacher mistreated him. When the school principal learned of his conversion, he was watched and compelled to recite Muslim prayers. People questioned him about Jesus Christ, but all that Roton knew about Christ he learned from the Koranic passages he read for his father. It was time to learn more. Instead of succumbing to the religious pressure he experienced, Roton—with encouragement from his father—set out on a journey to learn more about his Lord and Savior.
“I am so happy to be in this MBB youth camp. It’s my first. I saw that I am not alone! Many work together for Christ. In this camp, I discovered Jesus in the Old Testament. I will read the Old Testament more—together with the New Testament—so that I am prepared to answer questions people ask me. Someday, I want to study in a Bible school, so that I can help others who are on the same road as I am.”

WHAT FORGIVENESS IS AND IS NOT
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13
To understand forgiveness we must realize what forgiveness is NOT:
· Forgiveness is not forgetting. Deep hurts can rarely be wiped out of one’s awareness.
· Forgiveness is not reconciliation. Reconciliation takes two persons, but an injured party can forgive an offender without reconciliation.
· Forgiveness is not condoning. Forgiveness does not necessarily excuse bad or hurtful behavior.
· Forgiveness is not dismissing. It involves taking the offense seriously, not passing it off as inconsequential or insignificant.
· Forgiveness is not a vague notion of ‘tolerance’. This is, at best, a low-grade parody of forgiveness. At worst, it’s a way of sweeping the real issues in life under the carpet.
· Forgiveness is not pardoning. A pardon is a legal transaction that releases an offender from the consequences of an action, such as a penalty.
Throughout the Old Testament we read that only God can forgive sins. We hear David exclaim, “He forgives all my sins…” (Psalm 103:3). We also see examples of human forgiveness—even in pain—like Joseph forgiving his brothers for selling him into slavery. Joseph gains true freedom. He then names his son Manasseh, “one who causes to be forgotten.”
In the New Testament we see Jesus, the Lamb of God, come into to the world to die for our sins. Through His shed blood we can once and for all receive ultimate forgiveness. This is the pure “gospel of grace.” This forgiveness is a gift. We do not deserve it but God, in His grace, reached out to provide forgiveness to a dying world.
Then we read in the verse above the impact of this on those of us who have received that forgiveness. Its ethical challenge parallels “love your enemies” and “pray for your persecutors.”
In the final analysis, forgiveness is an act of faith. By forgiving another, I am trusting that God is a better justice-maker than I am. By forgiving, I release my own right to get even and leave all issues of fairness for God to work out. I leave in God’s hands the scales that must balance justice and mercy. I simply forgive others and leave them to God.
RESPONSE: Today I will leave fairness and justice in God’s hands. I will obediently forgive others just as the Lord forgave me.
PRAYER: Lord, grant me the faith to trust You with the offenses committed against me. I will forgive.

Our Home of Value
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
– Philippians 3:20-21 (NIV)
It’s good that patriotism is alive and well in America. It’s an election year and we have just celebrated July 4th in the U.S. But the Scripture tells us that our allegiance is to another government—we are ultimately citizens of heaven. The freedom that we will experience from this earthen body will not come from any government on earth, but from our ultimate King, Jesus Christ. So rejoice in the nation that God has placed you in, but remember that you are called to be an ambassador for another ruler; Jesus Christ, who will come again.
Partial Sight
| Sadly, many people lie awake at night, haunted by thoughts that other people don't like them, feeling they don't have a friend in the world. Amazingly though, on meeting these people in person, they are extremely likable. Why don't they think they're attractive to anyone else? Why do others see them as they do? I found one clue in Jesus' encounter with the man born blind. (Mark 8:22-26). When the man's sight was only partially restored by Jesus, he could see people, but they were like objects to him - like "trees walking." Only when his eyes were completely healed could he see people as being fully human...like himself. How often have you been hurt or even emotionally abused by someone treating you like an object;" a "means to an end" or someone who didn't deserve to be loved? One reason may be that their eyes aren't open. Even if they are Christian and have been partially restored, they still see people as no more than "trees walking." Pray for them. But meanwhile know,"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds - curing their pains and their sorrows...He will beautify the humble with salvation, and adorn the wretched with victory" (Psalms 147:3 and 149:4, AMP). Look up and see how much Jesus loves and takes pleasure in you. Then decide never again to be cast down by the opinions of unenlightened, partially-blinded men. Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together… God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me: Heavenly Father, I hold up to You every hurt in my heart which has come from feeling unlovable or unloved. Restore the sight of all Your people, O God, and help us to see each other as You do...not as objects to be hurt or used, but as miraculous creations who all need each other to make it home to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen. |
The revival message to fellow brethren
The last but not the least, I command you brethren to stand
against all the works of the enemy. We are making nations see the goodness of
the Lord Almighty in the works of the ministry. We also encourage brethren to
stand with us in this hour of need. The more we talk of this, the more we
remind you of the second coming of the son of man.
It’s our responsibility as brethren to know and make others
know and remember this noble work of the gospel of the cross. It’s through
prayer and fasting that we will see this come into reality. That’s why Paul
once said that there are things that won’t happen until we go onto our knees. It’s
our hope therefore that all who hears this will communicate the same to the
others in our churches and areas. May the Almighty bless you all!

The Sunday History
Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested
from all the work of creating that he had done.
– Genesis 2:3 (NIV)
We often think of a day of rest as an option, but God set a Sabbath day
into the fabric of His creation. Even though studies overwhelmingly show
that we work better when we are rested, we keep short changing others and
ourselves by pushing more into our schedule than we can handle. How can we
make a statement that we love God? By coming out of the demands of work for
a day and honoring the Sabbath.

Mark 16.3
Mark 16
3 And they said among themselves, Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled awayfor it was very large.5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.6 But he said to them, Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.7 But go, tell His disciplesand Peterthat He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.
Brethren, my Master has resurrected! I proudly tell this to the whole world.
Have a nice evening!

Totally Good
One evening I read two heartbreaking questions from an eight-year old
boy. He wrote that his father had promised to take him fishing on his
birthday, but when that day arrived, the father forgot. His little
spirit crushed, the child wrote, "Did God make my dad forget me? Didn't
He want me to go fishing?"
It is especially hard to answer questions like this from a child, yet
many adults ask the same thing in different ways. Somehow they can't
completely rest in God because they don't really trust Him. They think
He is behind their hurts. They find it hard to believe that God is
totally good.
Have you ever tossed and turned, doubting that God would keep His
promises? If things go too well do you sometimes secretly wait for God
to "pull the rug out" from under you?
Rest assured that God is good! The negligence of the little boy's father
like any abuses you may have suffered, were not from God! As James tell
us: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes
down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or
shadow of turning" (James 1:17, NKJV). God's goodness is continually
working in your behalf, He not only is good, but He does good, and He
wants the best for you.
Believe it! If secret doubts about the reality of His goodness have been
hindering your rest, ask Him to heal your heart as you learn to stand
against the real enemy of your soul.
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, help me fully believe in Your goodness toward me,
realizing that You are not the source of my many hurts and pains. I
thank You for healing me now, as I lie down to rest in a new revelation
of Your goodness and love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Beauty For Ashes
A pillow soaked with tears...this pitiful picture is not something a
poet dreamed up, it is what many experience, night after night.
There are many things that could be grieving you. Perhaps it is the loss
of a loved one or a shattered marriage. It could also be a wayward
child, or sorrow for lost souls, or for the brokenness of God's people.
If something is causing you grief tonight, whatever it is, the Lord's
heart is with you. He longs to comfort you and hold you until morning.
In His Word, He promises even more than comfort to those who mourn. He
says He has come, "...to comfort all who mourn, to console those who
mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
morning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they
may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He
may be glorified" (Isaiah 61:2b, 3).
Think of it: beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning. God has
heard your cries. And He is telling you that no tear is ever wasted. You
are the beloved Bride, the apple of His eye. What moves your heart moves
His. You are coming into greater oneness with Him. What a comforting
thought to fall asleep with.
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, I thankfully accept the comfort that You send me by
Your Spirit tonight. I praise You that You have come to give me beauty
for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for
the spirit of heaviness. Your Son was a Man of sorrows, acquainted with
grief, and so am I. May my mourning be used as a tool of intercession in
Your hands, so that You may be glorified. In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

Today's Bible Scripture
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have
fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son,
Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.
– 1 John 1:3-4 (NIV)
Today’s commentary
There is a miracle that happens with faith in Christ. A proclamation turns
into belief, which turns into an intervention from God, which turns into a
relationship with God through Christ. We dont fully comprehend this
mysterious progression of events, but the outcome is joy. There is
rejoicing when we see others come to know their Creator.

Today's Bible Scripture
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard,
so that we do not drift away.
– Hebrews 2:1 (NIV)
Today’s commentary
The writer of Hebrews reminds us that no matter how much vision or
inspiration fill our souls we have a tendency to leak. There is a saying,
The price of freedom is responsibility, and it applies here. It takes
diligence to stay the course that God sets for us. If you feel you are
lost, go back to the Scriptures that you heard at the beginning. God is
faithful to help you find your way back again.

Launch Out!
Can you imagine how hard it must have been for Abraham to "launch out"
and follow God without any idea of where he was going?
Or what about Sarah? I've often thought about how hard it must have been
for her to accompany this man who had his heart set on an unseen God
with a mysterious and unpredictable scheme. Where was her security? Who
was in control?
God is calling many of you, too, to "cut your shorelines" and launch out
onto deeper waters. It's frightening. For as one partner reminded me,
"There are no paths in the ocean!" When we beg God for a roadmap, He
replies, "For now, I'm not going to give you one."
You've heard His call. You want to obey. But you toss and turn, fearing
the unknown. Stop fretting long enough to listen to what He is saying to
you, "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your
habitations be stretched out; spare not, lengthen your cords and
strengthen your stakes..." (Isaiah 54:2, AMP).
As you lie down tonight, be courageous and sleep well. Know that we are
praying for you as you launch out. If you will write to us, we will have
others pray for you, too. We are one. Believe that we will all uphold
each other during these end-time hours of breaking through to new
frontiers!
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the strength and encouragement You
give me to face the unseen challenges ahead. Like Abraham, I will learn
day-by-day to trust and rely totally upon You. Father, I also ask that
You give refreshment, guidance and Your strength to others, who like me,
are striving to obey Your call, enlarging the place of their tents, and
are willing to launch out onto the deep! In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

Its His Fight
Occasionally, a partner has told me of spending a terrible night pacing
the floor...heart pounding, head throbbing, and blood racing through
their veins. Why? Unresolved anger. Their question is, "What do I do
with it at 2 o'clock in the morning? I know the Bible tells me to
forsake it, but if it's already overwhelmed me, what can I do?"
If you find yourself at this point tonight, try looking at your anger
from another perspective. Ask yourself, "Whose battle is this, mine or
the Lord's?" Whose job is it to deal with whoever has made you angry? To
whom does vengeance, repayment or chastisement belong?
In most cases, there's only so much you can, or should do. The Lord
Himself wants to take over. "...the battle is not yours, but
God's...You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves,
stand still and see the salvation of the LORD who is with you..."(II
Chronicles 20:15, 17, NKJV).
If something today has made you really angry, let Him fight for you. He
will guide you to constructive solutions or reconciliation, but first
you must be calm and get a good night's sleep!
Give Him your situation and let the anger drain out of you; experience a
surge of His peace bathing your soul as you pray.
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, I fully repent of my anger, and let it all go. I
leave the entire incident in Your capable hands, asking that You guide
me to a constructive solution, helping me to see things from Your
perspective. Thank You for the new anointing of self-control which You
have given me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Daily Bible Verse
Therefore, although in Christ I could be bold and order you to do what you
ought to do, yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love. It is as
none other than Paul—an old man and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus—
– Philemon 1:8-9 (NIV)
Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor,
Paul could have used positional authority (he was an apostle, after all),
instead he appealed to Philemon on the basis of love. Positional authority
will produce results, but not changed attitudes. Wrestling with all of the
dynamics that maintain a loving relationship is more challenging, but in
the long run it produces results that go beyond the task at hand—it gives
us a perspective that will guide us for the rest of our lives.

The Daily Bible Verse
You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
– Titus 2:1 (NIV)
The word doctrine can cause some Christians to react. Yet when Paul writes
to Titus, he places proper doctrine at a very high place. This means that
we dont just love God with our hearts, but our minds as well. So dont avoid
doctrine just because its difficult; be willing to explore truths that have
been taught for centuries. Sound doctrine has stood the test of time, it
speaks to our generation, and it can guide your life toward the future.

Test The Spirits
I can't tell you how many times partners tell me they have spent an
entire night in anguish over a "prophecy" someone has given them which
was, supposedly, "from the Lord." Confused, distraught-and sometimes
even devastated, they can't sleep. They wonder if it really is the Lord
talking to them. Often, they have doubts.
If one such "word" is weighing heavily on your heart tonight, let me
offer you three guidelines from God's Word to help you discern the
source of the "prophecy."
The Apostle Paul tell us, "...he who prophesies speaks edification and
exhortation and comfort to men
(I Corinthians 14:3, NKJV).
Let me ask you: How did you feel after receiving this "word from the
Lord"...built up? Comforted?
Encouraged? Exhorted? If you felt condemned, torn down or devastated,
something is very wrong. Although God may sometimes warn or entreat you,
His purpose through others is never to strike at you or shock you with
some "revelation," you are totally unprepared for.
God is love. What was the spirit of what you were told and how was it
told to you? Can you say without a doubt that it was spoken in love?
Remember always to "test the spirits" to discern God's perfect will in
your life.
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for using my brothers and sisters to help
build, comfort, encourage, and sometimes warn me. Increase my powers of
discernment with which to "test the spirits" so that I may know what is
of You. I now forgive anyone who has spoken to me falsely, and ask You
to help them grow in discernment, too. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Daily Bible Verse
2 Timothy 1:13-14 - What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound
teaching,
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith
and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to
you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
– 2 Timothy 1:13-14 (NIV)
Paul confidently tells Timothy to follow his teaching, but notice what he
adds: faith and love in Christ Jesus. Doctrine without faith in God is only
a philosophy that requires no action, and teaching without love can create
a false sense of superiority. Finding a balance that is fruitful would be
overwhelming except for the fact that we are not left alone to do it; the
Holy Spirit is here to guide us every step of the way.

Beyond All Doubt
"Does God still love me?" Event the most seasoned saint is kept awake,
from time to time, tormented by this thought.
Circumstances of the day can churn like storm clouds in their minds,
seeming to prove that God no longer cares. Like clouds, the anxious
thoughts block out the light of His love. We are then deceived into
thinking that it is He who has cut us off!
Have the events of your day cast doubt on your trust in God's love?
Don't use these circumstances as a barometer of His caring. They are no
indicator...they are snares of the enemy.
With all the beatings, persecutions and deprivations the Apostle Paul
went through, he, if anyone, might have doubted God's love. Many of your
trials are just as excruciating to you. Perhaps you face a loved one
addicted to drugs, an abusive spouse, unemployment, financial setback or
poor health...making you cry out in the night. "Do You still care?"
With all he went through Paul was convinced that, "...neither death
nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present
nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38, 39, NKJV).
Stop doubting God's love. Know that all the trials you went through
today can only bring you closer to Him. Beyond all doubt, you are more
than a conqueror in His love!
Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, in Your love, use today's circumstances to make me
stronger and more firmly rooted in You. Help me keep my mind focused on
You, knowing that nothing can separate me from Your love. Thank You for
using them to bring me into an even greater walk with You. In Jesus'
Name, Amen.

NI TABIBU WA KARIBU
Tabibu wa ajabu
Na rehema za daima
Ni dawa yake njema
Imbeni malaika
Sifa za Yesu Bwana
Pweke limetukuka
Jina lake Yesu
Hatufai kuwa hai
Wala hatutumai
Ila Yeye kweli ndiye
Atupumzishaye
Dhambi pia na hatia
Ametuchukulia
Twenendeni na amani
Hata kwake mbinguni
Huliona tamu jina
La Yesu Kristo Bwana
Yuna sifa mwenye kufa
Asishindwe na kufa
Kila mume asimame
Sifa zake zivume
Wanawake na washike
Kusifu Jina Lake
Na vijana wote tena
Wampendao sana
Waje kwake wawe wake
Kwa utumishi wake.
TUFANI INAPOVUMA
Sana moyoni mwangu
Huona pa kujificha
Mkononi mwa Mungu
Hunificha hunificha
Adui hatanipata
Hunificha hunificha
Mkononi Mwake
Pengine kuna taabu
Yanisongeza kwake
Naijua si hasira
Ni ya mapenzi yake
Adui wakiniudhi
Nami nikisumbuka
Mungu atavigeuza
Vyote viwe baraka
Niishipo duniani
Ni tufani daima
Anilindapo rohoni
Nitakaa salama.
KAA NAMI NI USIKU SANA
Usiniache gizani Bwana
Msaada wako haukomi
Nili peke yangu kaa nami
Siku zetu hazikawi kwisha
Sioni la kunifurahisha
Hakuna ambacho hakikomi
Usiye na mwisho kaa nami
Nina haja nawe kila saa
Sina mwingine wa kunifaa
Mimi nitaongozwa na nani
Ila wewe Bwana kaa nami
Sichi neno uwapo karibu
Nipatalo lote si taabu
Kifo na kaburi haviumi
Nitashinda kwako kaa nami
Nilalapo nikuone wewe
Gizani mote nimulikie
Nuru za mbinguni hazikomi
Siku zangu zote kaa nami.

"Still,be kind"
Your help to others may go unneeded & unnoticed.
"Still,be helpful"
"IF YOU ARE HONEST & FRANK",people may cheat you.
"Still,be honest"
If you find happiness, they may be jealous.
"Still,be happy"
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
"Do good anyway"
Because in the final analysis it's between You & GOD, It was never between you & them.

13th Nov,11 This is a true story; A very sick woman dreamt that Jesus gave her water to drink. When she woke up in the morning she was well again, fit, fine & Healed. She saw a piece of paper on the side of her table which read, "Jesus is the true living God." So she told people about what had happened to her.

Secrets Of Life
Before I slept, I asked myself; What is life all about and what are some of the secrets of success in life?
The answers were right there in the room:
1.The Fan said-Be cool.
2.The Roof said-Aim high.
3.The Window said-See the world.
4.The Clock said-Every minute is precious.
5.The Mirror said-Reflect before you act.
6.The Calender said-Be up to date.
7.The Door said-Push hard for your goals.
But the most important was this:-
THE CARPET SAID: KNEEL DOWN N PRAY. God bless you and keep you safe, just learn 2 trust Him. I wish u a good nyt.
